Mic Drop is Duquesne University's first and only a cappella group on campus.
WHAT OUR SEASONS CONSIST OF:
1. PERFORMANCES
Mic Drop has annual Winter and Spring Concerts on Duquesne's campus to showcase our wide range of repertoire each season. Mic Drop also hosts a college A Cappella invitational concert entitled "Beats on the Bluff," each Fall. Along with on-campus performances, our group has made appearances at Pittsburgh's Tree Lighting Ceremony and showcases such as "New Kids on the Block" with some of Pitt University's groups, opened for some of Pitt University's semesterly concerts, and even performed at CMU's "Almost Midnight A Cappella." We also had the opportunity to travel to Penn State University and perform with Coda Conduct, one of the many a cappella groups on the University's campus.

2. COMPETITIONS
A part of what our a cappella group does is prepare for the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA's). This is a competition where a cappella groups around multiple countries compete for a chance to become a cappella champions. Mic Drop competed in Rochester, New York in 2018, the Soldiers and Sailors Museum at Pitt University in 2019, Binghamton, New York in 2020, and back to Soldiers and Sailors Museum at Pitt University in 2023. We are excited to start the process of preparing for a new season with a new crew of talented vocalists.
